Workshop 1: Theoretical, descriptive and applied studies of languages in the contemporary social context
Abstract
The following work is an analysis of the themes, methodological procedures and results exposed in the course works of the students of the Bachelor's Degree in Letters of the Central University "Marta Abreu" of Las Villas (UCLV) during the last 20 years as part of the subject of History of the Spanish Language (HLE). During this period, a variety of literary and non-literary texts, printed works, newspapers, manuscripts, minutes related to political and governmental entities from the 15th century (approximately) to the present time have been studied. There is an interest in the study of the evolution of the Cuban variant of the central region, however, there is no uniformity in the methodological and procedural treatment of the works, for this reason their quality is fluctuating and they do not always present a uniform development in terms of writing style and conception of the research. This is justifiable if we take into account that the works of History of language are, generally, the first serious approach to a rigorous research, nevertheless, we are working on the homogenization of a methodology that serves for tutors and students and raises the quality of both the research process and the research reports.
Resumen
El siguiente trabajo es un análisis de las temáticas, procedimientos metodológicos y resultados expuestos en los trabajos de curso de los estudiantes de la carrera de Licenciatura en Letras de la Universidad Central «Marta Abreu» de Las Villas (UCLV) durante los últimos 20 años como parte de la asignatura de Historia de la lengua española (HLE). En este período se advierte una variedad en el estudio textos literarios y no literarios, obras impresas, periódicos, manuscritos, actas vinculadas a entidades políticas y gubernamentales desde el siglo XV (aproximadamente) hasta la actualidad. Se advierte un interés por el estudio de la evolución de la variante cubana de la región central, sin embargo, no existe uniformidad en el tratamiento metodológico y procedimental de los trabajos, por esta razón la calidad de los mismos es fluctuante y no siempre presentan un desarrollo uniforme en cuanto a estilo de redacción y concepción de las investigaciones. Esto es justificable si se tiene en cuenta que los trabajos de Historia de la lengua son, generalmente, el primer acercamiento serio a una investigación rigurosa, no obstante, se trabaja en la homogeneización de una metodología que sirva para tutores y estudiantes y eleve la calidad, tanto de el proceso investigativo como de los informes de investigación.
