Cultural promoter and local identity, a look from the imaginary and social representation

Abstract

The study focuses on revealing the relationship between collective imaginaries, social representations, the actions of the cultural promoter and its influence for the preservation of local identity. It starts from a review of research carried out on the subject, and from this reflect on the various expressions that appear configured in this specific group, that of Cultural Promoters. In this way, the work addresses the dimension of the actions of the Cultural Promoter, establishes the characteristics of its representation in its interaction with the sociocultural environment and finally investigative paths are proposed that allow identifying and deciphering the trends that exist on the subject in the Villa Clara context.

Resumen

El estudio se centra en develar la relación existente entre los imaginarios colectivos, las representaciones sociales, el accionar del promotor cultural y su influencia para la conservación de la identidad local. Se parte de una revisión de investigaciones realizadas sobre el tema, y a partir de ello reflexionar acerca de las diversas expresiones, que aparecen configuradas en este colectivo concreto, el de los Promotores Culturales. De este modo, el trabajo aborda la dimensión del accionar del Promotor cultural, establece las características de su representación en su interacción con el medio sociocultural y finalmente se proponen caminos investigativos que permitan identificar y descifrar las tendencias que sobre el tema existen en el contexto villaclareño.
