Workshop 5: Network of Cuban and Latin American cultural identity studies
Abstract
The cultural panorama in Cuba brings together more than 27 musical events of the most diverse heritage expressions and genres that make up the wide musical range that identifies us. From January to December of each year, Cuba lives in a constant festival of great attraction for nationals and foreigners who come to our country to experience firsthand, that uniqueness that reaffirms us as The Island of Music. The events developed by the institutions of the institutional system of culture allow the concentration of creators under the same stage and/or space where greater and better visibility of the musical expressions of a region, territory or locality is promoted. Success lies in the multidisciplinary vision and the collegiate work between all the actors who promote it, the results of which allow greater development and social and economic impact in the territory where it is carried out, always with the premise of preserving the authentic roots of each space.
Resumen
El panorama cultural en Cuba agrupa a más de 27 eventos musicales de las más diversas expresiones patrimoniales y géneros que conforman el amplio abanico musical que nos identifica. De enero a diciembre de cada año, Cuba vive en una constante fiesta de gran atractivo para nacionales y foráneos que llegan a nuestro país para vivir en primera persona, esa singularidad que nos reafirma como La Isla de la música. Los eventos desarrollados por las insituciones del sistema institucional de la cultura permiten la concentración de los creadores bajo un mismo escenario y/o espacio donde se propicia mayor y mejor visibilidad de las expresiones musicales de una región, territorio o localidad. El éxito radica en la visión multidisciplinar y el trabajo colegiado entre todos los actores que lo propician cuyos resultante permiten un mayor desarrollo e impacto social y económico en el territorio donde se realice, siempre con la premisa de preservar lo autenticamente raigal de cada espacio.
