The management of computer media at the Los Caneyes hotel

Hotel companies operate in a context where the use of technology is necessary in all processes of consumption and tourism development. Its transversality in all hotel activity is essential nowadays, since it is considered a tool that reflects, to a greater or lesser extent, the preparation of the personnel in charge of making the necessary decisions. The present research was carried out in the hotel "Los Caneyes", which belongs to the Cubanacán Hotel Group in the central province of Villa Clara; starting from the objective of providing an opportune diagnosis of the management of computer supports in the hotel "Los Caneyes" which will help to make correct administrative decisions. We worked with a quantitative methodology, where the data collection was carried out during the months of March and June 2023, using as an instrument the questionnaire focused on the achievement of the objective. Among the main results of the research, it is worth mentioning the survey of the technological resources available to the hotel, as well as the basic skills of its employees in management positions. The diagnosis made allowed to know how the managers of the different administrative areas assume the technological situation and the elements they have in the search for the best decision.

Las empresas hoteleras se desempeñan en un contexto donde el uso las tecnologías son necesarias en todos los procesos de consumo y desarrollo turístico. Su transversalidad en toda la actividad hotelera se hace imprescindible en la actualidad, ya que se considera una herramienta que refleja en mayor o menor medida la preparación del personal encargado en tomar las decisiones necesarias. La presente investigación se realizó en el hotel “Los Caneyes”, el cual pertenece al Grupo Hotelero Cubanacán en la central provincia de Villa Clara; partiendo del objetivo de proporcionar un oportuno diagnóstico del manejo de los soportes informáticos en el hotel “Los Caneyes” el cual ayudará a la toma correcta de decisiones administrativas. Se trabajó con una metodología cuantitativa, donde la recogida de datos se llevó a cabo durante los meses de marzo y junio de 2023, empleando como instrumento el cuestionario enfocado al logro del objetivo. Entre los principales resultados de la investigación cabe mencionar el levantamiento de los recursos tecnológicos con que cuenta el hotel, así como las habilidades básicas de sus trabajadores en puestos directivos. El diagnóstico realizado permitió conocer como asumen los directivos de las diferentes áreas administrativas la situación tecnológica y los elementos con que cuentan en la búsqueda de la mejor decisión.
