Introductory and High Performance Sports Workshop
This research enables the professional development of undergraduate students in the Faculty of Physical Culture (FCF) at the Central University “Marta Abreu” of Las Villas (UCLV). It involves acquiring new knowledge in the subject of Basic Judo through tools that enhance the transition from dependence to independence. These tools include various didactic teaching methods for Judo. In practical terms, the study emphasizes documentary analysis, observation, measurement, and interviews. The theoretical aspect focuses on methods such as analysis and synthesis, induction and deduction, as well as a system-based approach using units of analysis. For example, filming a didactic video to reinforce the execution of the “Basic Judo Elements Kata” is proposed. Additionally, tasks are designed to encourage students to explore their environment and find new solutions. The study also analyzes student development, assessing whether the proposed methods meet individual needs. The third unit of analysis examines movement types and personal resources available to FCF students to demonstrate content assimilation. Collaborative kata work is highlighted as a means to acquire professional skills and address specific challenges at the foundational level.
