Abstract
The issue of the functioning of the state in the pursuit of a prosperous and sustainable socialism is directly linked to the legitimacy of political decisions.
Especially when, in the Cuban case, the socialist project has been under siege since its inception by the most powerful empire in the history of mankind.
In this sense, it is vitally important to establish the ways of legitimizing our socialism, which has had variations throughout more than 60 years of revolution in power and needs to be updated in recent times due to various historical circumstances. Such an update can take advantage of the potential and real advantages of the municipal autonomy set out in the new constitution and of the method of work by public policies, which is based on, among other things, protagonist citizen participation, a pending task of our territorial and local governments.
Resumen
El asunto del funcionamiento estatal en la procura de un socialismo próspero y sostenible, está vinculado directamente con la legitimidad de las decisiones políticas, máxime cuando en el caso cubano el proyecto socialista es asediado por el imperio más poderoso de la historia.
En este sentido es de vital importancia establecer los modos de legitimar nuestro socialismo, lo cual ha tenido variaciones a través de más de 60 años de revolución en el poder y precisa de una actualización en los últimos tiempos por diversas circunstancias históricas. Dicha actualización puede aprovechar las ventajas potenciales y reales de la autonomía municipal planteada en la nueva constitución y del método de trabajo por políticas públicas, el cual se fundamenta en entre otras cosas en una participación ciudadana protagónica, tarea pendiente de nuestros gobiernos territoriales y locales.
