Experience of working in university media during the College of Journalism Preparatory.

The immersion of students in the productive routines of university media is one of the strengths of the College of Preparatory School of Journalism of the Central University “Marta Abreu” of Las Villas. This research exposes the experiences obtained during the work of a group of young people, belonging to the first generation of this new modality of entry to the career, in the rescue of the radio station of the pedagogical center “Félix Varela”. Specific objectives are proposed such as the description of creation process of the information grid and the productive routines of the production team. The bibliographic-documentary method and the bibliographic-documentary review technique are used to systematize the main approaches and theoretical methodological foundations on the object of study. Through the application of a survey, it is demonstrated that the production of two informative spaces, during the period prior to the career, favors the approach of future Journalism students to the contents taught in the academy and offers them technical tools for later work in other university media. The limited infrastructure for recording and editing audios is highlighted as the main difficulty faced by the team members. In addition, the inefficient use of social networks for the dissemination of radio productions is pointed out. Based on this study, the development of a strategy for the innovative management of Cuban university radio stations is recommended.

La inmersión de los estudiantes en las rutinas productivas de los medios de comunicación universitarios es una de las fortalezas del Colegio de Preparatoria de Periodismo de la Universidad Central “Marta Abreu” de Las Villas. En la presente investigación se exponen las experiencias obtenidas durante el trabajo de un grupo de jóvenes, pertenecientes a la primera generación de esta nueva modalidad de ingreso a la carrera, en el rescate de la radio base de la sede pedagógica “Félix Varela”. Se plantean objetivos específicos como la descripción del proceso de creación de la parrilla informativa y las rutinas productivas del equipo de realización. El método bibliográfico-documental y la técnica revisión bibliográfico-documental se emplean para sistematizar los principales enfoques y fundamentos teórico metodológicos sobre el objeto de estudio. Mediante la aplicación de una encuesta, se demuestra que la realización de dos espacios informativos, durante el período previo a la carrera, favorece el acercamiento de los futuros estudiantes de Periodismo a los contenidos impartidos en la academia y les ofrece herramientas técnicas para el posterior trabajo en otros medios de comunicación universitarios. Se destaca la limitada infraestructura para la grabación y edición de los audios como principal dificultad enfrentada por los miembros del equipo.

Además, se señala el ineficiente empleo de las redes sociales para la difusión de las realizaciones radiales. Sobre las bases de este estudio, se recomienda la elaboración de una estrategia para la gestión innovadora de emisoras universitarias cubanas.
